Synthesis of Boron Nanopowder in a Plasma-Chemical Reactor Based on an Electric Arc Plasma Torch
摘要
Abstract
The results of a study of the synthesis of boron nanopowder in a flow of thermal hydrogen-containing plasma of an electric arc plasma torch in a reactor with a limited jet flow are presented. A thermodynamic analysis of the BCl3 + x H2 (x = 1.5–48) system was performed in the temperature range of 400–3000 K and pressure of 0.1 MPa, the dependences of the equilibrium yield of boron on the temperature and the ratio of elements H/Cl were established. In the experiments, samples of boron nanopowders were obtained, consisting of particles with a size of 30–90 nm. The influence of synthesis parameters on the yield and specific surface area of boron nanopowder was studied.
