摘要

Abstract

In addition to contemporary methods for monitoring the temperature of objects located on the Earth’s surface, a method for detecting the underground fire sources based on elevated concentrations of carbon dioxide molecules is represented. This method is based on spectroscopic measurements. The variation in the radiation flux of carbon dioxide molecules at laser lines (in the 10.6 and 9.4 µm ranges), which fall within the atmospheric transparency window, is analyzed. This variation is determined both by an increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide molecules near the Earth’s surface, released during combustion, and by the elevated temperature of the radiating molecules. The possibilities of the proposed method are analyzed.
