摘要

Abstract

Based on the model kinetic equation for a gas mixture and its system of moment equations, the problem of the profile of a plane shock wave in a mixture of mono- and polyatomic gases is considered. Serial calculations are carried out for shock waves in Ar–He and H2–CO2 mixtures in the range of partial concentrations from 0.01 to 0.99. It is shown that the narrowest density, velocity, and temperature profiles occur in a mixture with a low concentration of one of the components. It is also shown that the solutions of the kinetic and moment equations are quite close to each other, while the viscous terms of the moment equations have a weak effect on the shape of the component profile if the concentration of this component is low. Nonmonotonic profiles of the speed of sound are obtained and analyzed.
