Direct Calculation of Longitudinal Mode Dispersion in Two-Dimensional Yukawa Fluids Based on a Two-Step Approximation for the Radial Distribution Function

Abstract
Using a two-step approximation for the radial distribution function, an analytical expression has been obtained for the dispersion relation of longitudinal collective excitations in a two-dimensional Yukawa fluids. Calculations for different values of nonideality and screening parameters yield results that are consistent with the data of numerical molecular dynamics simulations.
