摘要

Abstract

Protein fluorescence of gram-negative Pseudomonas fluorescens and gram-positive Lactococcus lactis bacteria by the action of OH or \({\text{HO}}_{2}^{\bullet }\) radicals and UV-C radiation has been studied. The emission level of bacteria proteins was monitored using fluorescence spectra, which were measured in two-dimensional scanning mode. The Stern–Volmer coefficients of bacterial fluorescence quenching were determined. Significant reduction in protein fluorescence was observed for Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria subjected to UV-C irradiation and for Lactococcus lactis under the influence of OH radicals. Manifestation of the collective mechanism of excitation of Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria proteins by absorption of UV-C radiation is hypothesized.
