Abstract

Current flow in an aqueous solution is accompanied by electrolysis processes. The paper studies the effect of electrolysis gases on the properties of a discharge with a water-solution cathode. The influence of electrolysis gases on the properties of a discharge with a water-solution cathode was studied in this work. The current was set within 100–300 mA in a gas discharge and 1–2 A in autonomous electrolysis. Aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid, copper sulfate, and sodium sulfate with a concentration of 0.1 mol/L were used in the experiments.
