Abstract

Spectra of molecular nitrogen luminescence due to transitions between high-lying states \({{B}^{{'3}}}\Sigma _{u}^{ - }\) and B3Πg as a result of thermally stimulated recombination of nitrogen atoms have been observed and identified for the first time in a neon matrix at 5 K.
