Plasma Synthesis of Anorthite using Natural Raw Materials
摘要
Abstract
This study presents the experience of obtaining anorthite by the method of plasma melting using natural raw materials such as quartz sand, limestone, and boehmite. The results of X-ray diffractometry show the predominant presence of the anorthite phase in the melted products calcined at a temperature of 950°C. The paper also examines the possibility of using the obtained anorthite both as a raw material for the production of technical ceramics and as an additive in building ceramics. It has been established that the use of 5 and 10% by weight of fused anorthite powder in the compositions of building ceramics allows for an increase in strength indicators by 77 and 115%, respectively.
