Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study on the efficiency of laser ablation of superconducting YBCO ceramics, determined by the mass evaporated per pulse. It was found that the sizes of particles ejected from the target significantly depend on the pulse repetition rate and the target temperature, with their reduction contributing to a decreased likelihood of melt formation in the target crater and a reduction in the quantity and size of large particles on the superconducting YBCO film.
