Influence of Gas-Discharge Modification on Physical and Chemical Properties of the Surface of Polymer Materials
摘要
Abstract
The article presents the results of studies of the influence of gas-discharge modification on the physical and chemical properties of the surface of polymer films based on polyethylene (PE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It has been shown that gas-discharge modification has a significant effect on changes in the physicochemical properties of the surface of the polymer materials under study. Gas-discharge treatment of samples in argon, argon/nitrogen and air leads to a decrease in the contact angle, an increase in the surface tension coefficient and surface free energy (SFE). The results obtained can be used to improve the adhesive properties of polymer materials.
