Features of Nitriding of Stainless Steels by Treatment with Low-Energy Ion Flow

The properties of surface layers are formed during solid body processing. The relationship between the input parameters of the inductive coupling plasma (ICP) installation and the parameters of the radio frequency (RF) induction discharge, as well as with the energy of ions entering the surface of the treated body, and the ion current density is established. Regularities of regulation of parameters of modification of samples are established. The article presents the results of the effect of the low-energy ion flux on the physical and mechanical characteristics of modified materials.
