Abstract <p>The numerical method for solving elliptic differential equations (on unstructured computational grids), based on a nonlinear compact polynomial computational scheme and a method for approximate transition from elliptic-type equations to a system of hyperbolic equations is described. Some examples of initial testing of the proposed computational method are given.</p>
