Identity of Ornithoica momiyamai Kishida, 1932 (Diptera, Hippoboscidae) Populations from Primorskii Territory of Russia and from Southern Vietnam
摘要
The louse flies of the genus Ornithoica Rondani, 1878 are primarily tropical, and their occurrence in temperate regions is usually seasonal. There is currently a problem with the status of species and populations of O. momiyamai Kishida, 1932 and O. bistativa Maa, 1966. The relationship between Ornithoica populations from eastern Asia and from the Russian Far East also remains unexplored. Morphological and molecular features of O. bistativa specimens from southern Vietnam and O. momiyamai specimens from Primorskii Territory of Russia are discussed. Insignificant morphological and molecular differences between the populations allow considering them as subspecies Ornithoica momiyamai momiyamai stat. n. and Ornithoica momiyamai bistativa stat. n.
