New Data on the Systematics and Distribution of the Weevil Subfamily Ceutorhynchinae (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) in the New World

A new monotypic genus Mesauleutes Korotyaev gen. n. with the type species Auleutes inspersus Champion, 1907 is erected in the tribe Cnemogonini, and Mesauleutes inspersus (Champion), comb. n., is recorded for the first time from the continental U.S.A. (Florida) and several countries of North and Central America with the first host plant associations on Ludwigia octovalvis (Jacq.) P.H. Raven and Jussiaea erecta L. Auleutes nasalis (LeConte, 1876), comb. resurr., is returned from Parauleutes Colonnelli, 2004 to Auleutes Dietz, 1896 where it was placed by Dietz. Pelenomus friebi (Wagner, 1939), comb. n., is transferred from Phytobius Schönherr, 1833 and is recorded for the first time from North America where it was reared from Potentilla palustre L. (Scop.). Two species are transferred from Ceutorhynchus Germar, 1824 to Allosirocalus Colonnelli, 1983: Allosirocalus ovipennis (Dietz, 1896), comb. n., and Allosirocalus pollinosus (Dietz, 1896), comb. n.
