Abstract
The species group Trioxys auctus is distinguished based on the presence of two apical hairlike setae on the prongs. A key to all the 16 species of this group is presented. The main diagnostic characters and geographic distribution are clarified for T. auctus Haliday, 1833, T. glaber Starý, 1967, and T. parauctus Starý, 1960.
