Applicability of Mitochondrial Genes COI, COII and Nuclear Gene 18S for Identification of Some Fruit Flies from the Genus Anastrepha Schiner (Diptera, Tephritidae)
摘要
Abstract
This paper presents the results of our study of the COI and COII mtDNA and 18S rDNA gene regions in fruit flies of the genus Anastrepha, which are pests of great phytosanitary significance. The applicability of these genes for identifying Anastrepha fraterculus (Wiedemann), A. obliqua (Macquart), A. suspensa (Loew), A. ludens (Loew), A. grandis (Macquart), A. serpentina (Wiedemann), and A. striata Schiner is assessed. It is shown that the studied regions of the COI and COII genes, but not of the 18S gene, can be used for molecular diagnostics of some Anastrepha species.
