Sexual Dimorphism of the Correlation Structure of Morphometric Traits in Scorpions of the Genus Mesobuthus Vachon, 1950 (Aranea, Scorpiones: Buthidae)
摘要
Abstract
A comprehensive morphometric analysis of 26 scorpion species included in the revision of the genus Mesobuthus showed that all morphometric parameters were greater in females than in males. Most morphometric traits showed moderate to very strong statistically significant correlations in both sexes. Further comparison of correlation coefficients using the z value showed that 51 out of 528 correlations were significantly different between the sexes, with only 6 of them being stronger in females.
