Flammability Limits for SHS Systems with Radiative Heat Loss
摘要
Abstract
The extinction of combustion of a cylindrical sample with radiative heat transfer is analyzed by mathematical modeling. A method is proposed for estimating the critical parameters at the flammability limit (critical diameter, temperature, and velocity) with predominantly radiative heat loss typical of high-temperature SHS systems. The results are compared with similar values at the maximum heat loss cooling the cylinder surface to ambient temperature. The calculation results can be used to estimate the critical cylinder radius and the effective activation energy of the reaction. A method for estimating the effective activation energy of the heat release rate during gasless combustion of condensed media is proposed.
