Wide-Range Multiphase Equation of State for Bismuth

A semi-empirical equation of state for bismuth has been developed taking into account five solid phases, the liquid phase, evaporation, and thermal ionization. The results of model calculations are in satisfactory agreement with data from static and dynamic experiments in the pressure range from atmospheric to \(\approx\) 1 TPa and at temperatures from room temperature to  \(\approx\) 10⁵ K.
