Abstract
Oceanographic research has been carried out to study the flow of Antarctic Bottom Water along the abyssal Vidal Channel and Vema Fracture Zone in the tropical part of the Northwest Atlantic. Research was also carried out in the North Equatorial Countercurrent and on a transect through the Amazon River plume in the open ocean.
