Abstract <p> Two word transformations using a finite left quasigroup are proposed. Algebraic properties of left quasigroups such as polynomial completeness and the absence of nontrivial congruences are investigated. These properties may play an important role in the analysis and design of cryptographic schemes based on left quasigroups. </p>
