Abstract

Geomagnetic, ionospheric, and hydrogeological responses to the February 6, 2023 earthquakes in Turkey were recorded at the territory of the geophysical observatory of the Sadovsky Institute of Geospheres Dynamics of the Russian Academy of Sciences by the unique scientific installation “Mid-latitude complex of geophysical observations “Mikhnevo” at epicentral distances of more than 2000 km. The detected disturbances of the geomagnetic field coincided in time with the arrival of seismic disturbances. On the VLF-radio path, passing at a distance of 44 km from the earthquake sources, amplitude variations with a period of 40–50 min were detected, preceding and accompanying the February 6, 2023 earthquakes. The response of the watersaturated reservoir to seismic impact was traced both in the upper weakly confined aquifer and in the lower confined aquifer. In the reservoir–well systems, along with coseismic variations in pore pressure, postseismic effects are noted in the lower aquifer.
