Consistency of the Orbital Chronologies Derived for Vostok and EPICA DC Ice Cores Based on the Dependence of Ice Air Content on Local Insolation
摘要
Abstract
The coherent orbital timescales for ice cores from the Vostok Station and the EPICA DC project are presented. They were constructed by aligning the experimental records of air content of ice with the calculated curves of local summer insolation. It is demonstrated that the accuracy of the timescales obtained in this way is comparable to that of the optimized multi-proxy, multi-site chronologies AICC2023, which are considered to be the most advanced to date for these cores.
