Correlation of Macroperiodic Transformation of Biological Systems with Long-Term Changes in the Parameters of Geological, Geophysical, and Biospheric Processes

Abstract—

This article analyzes the global changes in the natural environment and biological systems that occurred during the long-term geo- and biophysical evolution of the earth, starting from the emergence of the first prokaryotes. The following experimental data are used as initial data: the geomagnetic time scale, changes in the water level of the World Ocean, and the emergence and development of new biological systems. The data are analyzed using the spectral method of maximum entropy and the construction of statistical histograms. As a result, the main periodicity corresponding to the time period was identified: T = 170 ± 20 million years, manifested in various geological and geophysical and biospheric processes. Based on the results of the analysis of the selected periodicities in various geo- and biophysical data, a possible model of geophysical and biospheric changes that occurred during earth’s evolutionary development are formulated and discussed.
