Assessment of Aerosol Pollution in the City of Moscow Based on Measurements of the Atmospheric Electric Field
摘要
This paper presents a numerical–theoretical model of assessing atmospheric pollution in the fair weather regions. It considers the ratio of the averaged values of the electric field strength in the territory of two objects of Sadovsky Institute of Geosphere Dynamics, Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS): the Center for Geophysical Monitoring (CGM) in Moscow and the Mikhnevo Geophysical Observatory (GO). Taking into account the altitude profile of the surface layer particle distribution and according to the ratio, the particle concentration in the megacity is estimated in comparison with the concentration outside its influence zone. According to this characteristic, taking into account the assumption about the altitude profile of particle distribution in the surface layer, the particle concentration in the megapolis is estimated in comparison with the concentration outside the zone of its influence. A new particle concentration profile decreasing with height is considered. A comparison of the data with measured values of microparticle concentrations in the atmosphere is carried out.
