Providing the Magnetic Cleanliness of Small Cubesat 1U Spacecrafts for Measuring the Earth’s Magnetic Field
摘要
Abstract
This work provides an analysis of the possibility of measuring the Earth’s magnetic field on board the small CubeSat 1U spacecraft. In particular, the problem of ensuring magnetic purity for the operation of magnetometers as part of nanosatellites is solved. The required accuracy of the equipment is assessed and the recommended maximum level of the spacecraft’s own magnetic field is determined: 0.1 nT. Ensuring the required value of the magnetic field background is possible only under the condition of spatial separation of the platform and the magnetometer using a special rod. To estimate its minimum length, the magnetic field of the nanosatellite is simulated. The value is 1575 cm.
