Energy Development in the Context of Climate Change and Depletion of the Earth’s Ozone Layer

Energy is the basis of the economy of any country, regardless of its technological structure. However, today an unprecedented situation has arisen in which it is necessary to urgently make fundamental decisions on the further development of global energy, due to climate change and the destruction of the Earth’s ozone layer, the predominant contribution to which is made by human activity, primarily in the energy sector. An analysis of the current situation has been carried out and conclusions have been formulated regarding the development of low-carbon energy technologies and the choice of working fluids for energy equipment that help reduce their impact on climate change and the destruction of the Earth’s ozone layer.
