The impact of kung fu films communication effects on national image: an empirical study based on American audiences
摘要
Kung Fu films, as a unique form of martial arts cultural symbols, play a significant role in promoting the international dissemination of martial arts culture and constructing national image. However, previous studies lack in-depth analysis of their internal mechanisms. This study examines how the communication effects of Kung Fu films influence American audiences’ perceptions of China’s national image. Based on a survey of American audiences and using SPSS 26.0 statistical software, we employed multilevel regression analysis to construct and test models analyzing the influence mechanisms of Kung Fu films on American audiences across different dimensions. The results show that the communication effects of Kung Fu films significantly impact American audiences’ subjective perceptions of China’s national image, political attitudes, and economic perception, and also exert a significant impact on cultural identity. The study further reveals that educational level significantly influences the overall evaluation of national image, cultural identity, and economic perception through Kung Fu films’ communication effects. These findings provide empirical evidence and theoretical reference for the international communication of martial arts culture and national image construction.
