<p>Return Migration in Pakistan is an increasingly significant phenomenon, driven by economic, social and cultural factors. This research explores the different challenges faced by return migrants and their reintegration into local communities in South Punjab, Pakistan. Using qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews of 20 return migrants, this research identifies key barriers such as limited job opportunities, social discrimination, and cultural adaptation struggles. Economic challenges including difficulty accessing financial resources to do business, and lack of required skills to find local jobs are series obstacles. Social rehabilitation is hindered by weak support structure and low trust, while culture challenges include conflicts between foreign experience and social expectations. The finding highlighted that target policies are needed to address these barriers, such as improving access to financial services, mental health support and organizing community-based reintegration programs. This study provides important information about the difficulties faced by return migrants in Punjab and provides the framework for policymakers to ensure effective reintegration of returnees and to better utilize their potential in Pakistan’s social and economic development.</p>
