摘要

This study examined how perceived parental influence in regular physical activity programs impacts leisure motivation among adolescents aged 10–19 and how this influence shapes their intention to re-engage in physical activities in the future. The sample consisted of 411 participants selected using a convenience sampling method. Data were collected using the Free Time Motivation Scale for Adolescents, the Perceived Parental Influence Scale, and the Future Exercise Intention Scale. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was conducted to analyze the relationships between the variables. The SEM results demonstrated that adolescents’ future exercise intention in physical activity was positively influenced by both perceived parental influence and leisure motivation. Additionally, leisure motivation mediated the relationship between perceived parental influence and future exercise intention. In conclusion, the study highlights the critical role of perceived parental influence and leisure motivation in fostering adolescents’ continued participation in physical activities. These findings emphasize the importance of parental support and motivation in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and provide valuable insights for future research and intervention strategies.
