The study outlines the evolution of Saudi media, highlighting its balance between modernization and the preservation of Islamic cultural identity. Beginning with the independent press in the 1920s, the sector expanded through state broadcasting, satellite technology, and digital platforms, reflecting both technological adoption and regulatory oversight. Key milestones include the establishment of the Saudi Press Agency, the increasing participation of women in the media, and the strategic utilization of media for cultural promotion. Despite challenges, these developments positioned media as a tool for national cohesion and cultural representation. Finally, this progression laid the groundwork for ongoing reforms consistent with Vision 2030.
