摘要

Supply chain green technology innovation is crucial for low-carbon development. However, the mechanisms for achieving collaborative green technological innovation among supply chain members remain underexplored. Based on supply chain data from Chinese A-share listed companies between 2014 and 2023, this study employs an OLS unbalanced panel regression model to examine how environmental cognitive distance and R&D capability distance influence collaborative green technological innovation in supply chains. The results indicate that a smaller environmental cognitive distance positively correlates with supply chain collaborative green technology innovation, while a larger R&D capability distance also promotes such synergy. Furthermore, a smaller environmental cognitive distance enhances the positive relationship between R&D capability distance and supply chain collaborative green technological innovation. By adopting a cognitive-capability perspective, this paper investigates the driving factors of supply chain collaborative green technological innovation. It reveals that shared environmental cognitive alignment among supply chain members significantly fosters collaborative green technological innovation. Additionally, companies with strong R&D capabilities play a leadership role in fostering such innovation. This study provides new insights into promoting sustainable green development and enhancing firms’ green competitive advantages.
