Research trends on use of technology in sustainability reporting: a keyword-based bibliometric analysis
摘要
This research entails a bibliometric analysis that is keyword-based regarding the trend on research in technology and sustainability reporting (SR). The study analysed 211 articles published in the Scopus database from 2002 to 2024 using advanced analytical tools such as VOSviewer and R-package, in order to establish the most influential journals, authors, organizations, and countries based on their citations and publications, as well as their location and importance within the network. Results indicate a growing use of technology in SR research, particularly in emerging nations; highlights the need for better alignment between technological innovations and established SR frameworks to ensure standardize transparency, suggesting possible future directions for researchers. Future studies could also explore the role of AI, blockchain, big data, and IoT in automating sustainability disclosure. These results provide significant insights into how technology facilitates SR and can serve as a starting point for further studies in this area.
