摘要

This editorial introduces Part 2 of the Special Issue on New Perspectives on Lobbying Regulation and Reform. It specifically examines how Part 2’s papers contribute to the five themes of second-generation lobbying regulation research. Worthy et al. explore that new approaches to regulating lobbying include data-driven monitoring, while Laboutková et al. develop a comprehensive transparency index that is critically evaluated (Theme 1). Crepaz & De Francesco investigate international dimensions of lobbying reform in Italy (Theme 2). Favotto & Kollman examine how CSR commitments influence lobbying on climate change (Theme 3). Bitonti et al. compare citizen perceptions in countries with and without lobbying laws (Theme 4). Finally, Fitzpatrick & Coen analyze policymaker engagement with lobbying registers (Themes 4–5). The editorial concludes by identifying future research directions for a potential third generation of lobbying regulation scholarship.
