<p>This article critically examines the concept of kinship relationships through the perspectives of labour law and feminist theory, highlighting the difficulties faced by legislators within existing frameworks to effectively regulate domestic work. Utilizing a socio-legal methodology, the findings indicate that most domestic workers and their employers perceive their relationship as one of kinship rather than a contractual agreement. This article aims to illustrate that, despite the sincere efforts of the legislature, the regulations that govern this sector are more intricate than they may seem. The concept of kinship relationships is employed to emphasize the challenges that labour law encounters when applied to non-industrial employment contexts, such as the one of domestic work. The article advocates for the integration of feminist analysis, particularly intersectional analysis, in the formulation and implementation of labour law to ensure that the rights of these marginalized workers are comprehensively addressed.</p>
