The Impact of Green Practices on Reputation Across Export Enterprises: What is the Role of Sustainable Performance?

Green practices are getting attention last decade due to its role for businesses’ survive and flourish in the market, mainly, the environmental challenges have been arisen. However, little has been known how such practices impact firms’ reputation, and studies have yet to explain how this association can be mediated and described by other variables like sustainable performance. In particular, across exporters in Arabic context since it locates in the heart of worldwide trade. Thus, the research aims to examine green practices role on reputation by employing natural resource-based view (NRBV) because it could offer further clarification for such enterprises; besides, the study framework is developed based on past literature. A quantitative method has been chosen to respond to the study objective; further, random sampling technique is followed. The data has been collected by a questionnaire that distributed to managers of those firms. SEM-PLS and SPSS are utilized for analyzing 63 validated surveys. The study results demonstrate several insights; for instance, green practices have influenced enterprises’ reputation. However, additional explanations have been provided. Those findings enrich green activities and reputation domains, mainly, across emerged economies. Moreover, leaders can be aware of the critical factors that impact performance and reputation. Also, new directions for researchers have been proposed such as examining other sectors and variables for overcoming areas that the research has not highlighted.
