Onto Ontogeny: Another Fanonian Meditation
摘要
In this article, the author meditates upon Frantz Fanon’s statement that “alongside phylogeny and ontogeny, there is also sociogeny” by thinking through its relationship to Fanon’s wider work and contemporary discussions in analytic theory. The author defends the concept of ontogeny as relevant to a liberatory, Fanonian psychoanalysis, and (following Fanon) disentangles it from a reductively oedipal denotation. Finally, author suggests that ontogeny may bear a unique significance for gender and sexual identity.
