<p>Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) has been associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) protection. Both entities have increased prevalence with age, similar molecular mechanisms based on myeloid lineage, and their preclinical nature allows for screening before symptomatic disease. We propose a synergistic model that allows us to identify the key moments in the natural history of AD by including CHIP, AD biomarkers and clinical outcomes.</p>

Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) has been associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) protection.
