Conversion between charge and spin: chiral organic solids versus inorganic crystals
摘要
Both inorganic and organic chiral materials have been exploited to achieve conversion between charge and spin—chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) and inverse CISS (ICISS). Inorganic and organic solids represent two distinct platforms of CISS/ICISS, in which chirality modifies the extended Bloch states in the former but locally alters carrier hopping among molecular states via a Berry phase in the latter, suggesting that CISS/ICISS is fundamental in chiral materials.
