Wireless energy conversion in wireless energy internet
摘要
A wireless energy internet, in which energy flows wirelessly among sources, storage and consumers, promises flexible and contactless energy delivery. Wireless power transfer provides the foundation; however, when the end application demands non-electrical energy, conventional systems require intermediate battery or supercapacitor storage, incurring losses and adding complexity. Wireless energy conversion bypasses this intermediate step by transforming transmitted power directly into the energy form required by the load. This Review examines how wireless energy is transmitted and converted across a range of load types and addresses the engineering challenges that remain before widespread deployment. The ‘Outlook’ section identifies future directions in standardization, security and emerging applications.
