Why social inclusion matters in sustainable intensification
摘要
Sustainable Intensification (SI) interventions focus on increasing agricultural productivity and system resilience and lowering environmental footprint, while their social equity implications remain largely overlooked. Through a literature review and two case studies from India, we examine (a) how the dissemination and impacts of SI technologies vary across gender and caste groups and (b) why targeting must be treated as an explicit objective in the design and promotion of SI interventions.
