<p>This paper presents a single switch high gain DC-DC quadratic boost converter for renewable energy applications. This converter utilizes an input side voltage lifting capacitor network (VLC), one intermediate inductor–capacitor–inductor (LCL) network and one switched capacitor (SC) network at the output side to boost the voltage gain. Use of single switch with reduced voltage stress across it decreases the loss and improve the efficiency of the converter. Diodes of this converter also experience reduced voltage stress across due to the careful design and synthesis. A detailed circuit analysis, experimental results and comparison is presented in the paper. The 200&#xa0;W, 380&#xa0;V hardware prototype yields a voltage gain of 11.17 times at a duty cycle of only 28% and full load efficiency of 96%.</p>
