Research on rural co-governance model under “micro-regeneration of community spaces” - a case study of Shanghai Pujiang country park
摘要
With the rapid urbanization process, the conflict between economic growth and ecological conservation has intensified. Country parks have emerged as critical green infrastructures that mitigate the disorderly expansion of urban cores and sustain the ecological equilibrium of adjacent regions. These spaces seamlessly integrate natural elements—including water, forests, farmlands, pathways, and villages—with local cultural heritage, recreational amenities, and everyday life settings.Adopting the “micro-renewal” concept, this study draws a comparative analysis between rural community public spaces in country parks and the degraded, fragmented community spaces typical of urban areas. Such a comparison facilitates the identification and preservation of the historical value embedded in rural landscapes and their constituent elements.Focusing on the challenges of fragmented infrastructure, constrained land availability, and ambiguous governance bodies, the research explores a rural co-governance framework tailored to community spaces in Shanghai’s country parks. The framework centers on three key dimensions: village development, land utilization, and governance coordination. The findings offer valuable insights for future initiatives in this domain, providing a reference for optimizing the planning, management, and sustainable development of similar rural-urban interface spaces.
