Research on smart ship technology topic mining and impact quantification based on BERTopic and contrimetric

With the deep integration of information technology and the shipbuilding industry, smart ships have become an important direction for maritime technological transformation. To examine topic evolution and relative influence in this field, this study proposes an analytical framework that combines BERTopic-based semantic topic modeling with a Contrimetric-based contribution measurement approach. By applying models such as Logistic growth curves and thematic clustering, the framework analyzes the technological life cycle, topic evolution, and knowledge diffusion in the smart ship domain. The analysis results demonstrate that this method effectively captures shifts in research hotspots, clearly revealing the diffusion pathways and developmental trends of smart ship technology. The findings provide macro-level references for researchers, enterprises, and policymakers, thereby promoting technological innovation and sustainable development in the smart ship industry.
