Magnetic sugarcane bagasse biosorbent as green sorbents for extraction of carbamates followed by ultra-performance liquid chromatography
摘要
A novel environmentally friendly magnetic sugarcane bagasse (Fe3O4@SCB) biosorbent was developed for the efficient extraction of carbamate pesticide residues from rice samples. The sorbent was synthesized by using a by-product of the agro-industrial sector and subsequently applied in magnetic solid-phase extraction. The extracts were then quantified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection. The physicochemical and structural properties of the synthesized sorbent were comprehensively characterized. Extraction parameters were optimized to maximize efficiency under selected conditions. The method showed good linearity over the range of 0.9 to 800 µg L−1 (R2 ≥ 0.99), with low limits of detection ranging from 0.30 to 60.0 µg L−1. High enrichment factors were achieved. Moreover, the adsorbent retained its efficiency over eight reuse cycles. Environmental assessment using Analytical Eco-Scale and AGREE metrics verified the method is sustainability. These findings demonstrate the potential sorbent as a simple, rapid, sensitive and green sorbent for residue determinations.
