<p>Mosquitoes comprise more than 3,700 described species worldwide, some of which act as vectors of human pathogens and are of major relevance for public health. The recent expansion of mosquito-borne diseases, including in temperate regions, has highlighted the need for standardized and accessible data on the invasion history and biological characteristics of vector species. Here, we present two harmonized, taxonomically linked, datasets covering &gt;180 mosquito species of public health relevance. The first provides a comprehensive account of species’ non-native distributions across &gt;470 regions worldwide (countries and major administrative divisions), including year of first record, establishment status, and pathways of introduction. The second provides species trait information, covering biological, ecological, and macroecological characteristics. These data were assembled from primary literature, books, governmental reports, and, where necessary, inferred from species occurrence data using consistent criteria. Together, these datasets substantially expand the scope of cross-region and cross-species comparisons, invasion and disease risk assessments, and facilitate reproducible research in ecology, biogeography, and public health.</p>
