<p><i>Agriophara rhombata</i> Meyr. also known as the tea ash wood moth, is one of the most destructive pests that cause leaf damage to tea plants. We generated the first high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of <i>A. rhombata</i> using the PacBio sequencing and Hi-C scafolding. The total length is 473.36 Mb, anchored to 25 chromosomes’ the assembled genome result of Scaffold N50 was 19.77 Mb. A total of 19,400 genes were obtained, among which 5,286 were conserved gene orthologs. The high quality genome will provide valuable reference for elucidating the traits and evolution of the valley moth family, providing reference for adaptability research of tea plant pests, and providing reference for strategies for controlling polyphagous pests.</p>
