Interventions for tooth wear – is there a ‘best' way?
摘要
Tooth wear is an increasingly common issue that presents many challenges to the clinician. External drivers to patient demand lead to challenges in management – from initial diagnosis to approaches for management. There are a multitude of options available for managing tooth wear, from simple supervision and removal of causative factors to extensive intervention with adhesive restorations, or the use of multiple extra-coronal restorations. Opinions are varied, sometimes vigorously promoted, and may be controversial. The question many might wish answered however is – ‘is there a best way?' There is rarely a single best option in managing tooth wear, but this opinion paper will look at the options and seek to provide some guidance in the way that practitioners may deploy the various approaches for management.
