<p>Patient recruitment is critical for the success of clinical research in dental settings, yet it can be particularly challenging within primary care environments. This paper explores the experiences and perspectives of a dental student, a PhD student, and a research dental nurse in the recruitment of patients for dental research at a primary care dental school. This study provides practical insights into the nature of recruitment within the dental field, which is needed given the lack of published research detailing specific strategies and comparisons related to recruitment of dental research patients. It is our hope that our experiences can be of values to all members of the oral healthcare team, whether that be undergraduate students doing a research placement, or dental professionals in general practice looking to get into research. </p>
