<p>This article presents an innovative outreach project launched at King's College London, where dental students deliver oral health education to children under five in early years (nursery) settings. Against a backdrop of persistent early childhood caries and unequal access to dental care, this initiative aims to instil healthy habits early while simultaneously enhancing dental students' communication and public health skills. The programme is contextualised within national statistics on child oral health and compared with similar efforts at other UK universities.</p>
